Manchester United Loose Out...

Manchester United have missed out on yet another transfer target. This time on Bayern Munich’s attacking midfielder Thomas Muller. The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the German international in the past few months, with reports emerging that Louis van Gaal wants to bring him at Old Trafford in the summer. Earlier this month, we reported that Muller, who is valued around €45m and has scored 13 times in 25 Bundesliga starts under Pep Guardiola last season, has asked for greater clarification about his role in the team. “I have reached the point where I want to know if I am an essential component of the Bayern Munich first XI for the new season and if the club has

Karachi Under Heavy Fire

All 10 gunmen died in the battle. NIGERIANS: The Greed, the Corruption, the BASIC UNIT OF our PROBLEMS

What is our problem in this dear Country of ours? Is it the corruption, is it the greed, is it the Boko haram, is it an Identity problem or is just us the general citizenry. Or maybe the right level or platform to ask this is amongst us – the average citizen, the government or private worker, the self-employed individual, the corporate companies etc. Biometrics was done for a National Identity card sometime in 2009 and we are still awaiting the outcome. Such pathetic identification process and no one cares enough that a contract implemented is not being carried out!
The problem however starts from each one of us. It starts from that little greed we overlook around us every day. A scenario is a case where I put some confectioneries on my office table for colleagues to come and take one and at least help keep their mouth busy while working as I work within an extremely fast paced environment. One colleague at times may get to take 6 sweets out of 10. Another may take 3 out of the remaining 4 while one or two persons have actually taken everything in the bowl. Very few people get to actually take just one amidst the plenty on my table. Everyone is looking out for themselves and their immediate satisfaction not considering the other staff in the building that may feel peckish after

“I’ll be Back” - Machines vs Man… a real life Terminator has been confirmed in Turing Test

Seen the movie I-Robot, Terminator sequels, and the likes where you have robots that are exactly like humans? This is what we are looking at here. In a breakthrough of engineering a computer has successfully passed the infamous ‘Turing test‘. You may have already read the headlines about how this is the beginning of the movie Terminator and the downfall of humanity, or if you haven’t you should because it makes for a good read. Before we explore the implications for humanity.

What exactly is a Turing test and why do you care?
The Turing test devised by the legendary Second World War code breaking Alan Turing (and great forefather of modern computing) in 1950 was designed to answer the question "Can machines think?" and is a well-known staple of artificial

"Nigeria just don't know how to score and that's a BIG PROBLEM"... USA 2 : 1 Nigeria

With a crowd of 52,033 watching an exhibition that began with an 84-degree temperature and 65 percent humidity that should be similar to the climate in Brazil, Jozy Altidore scored a pair of goals to lead the United States over Nigeria 2-1 Saturday night in Nigeria's final World Cup tuneup match.
Altidore tapped in Fabian Johnson's cross in the 31st minute on a play that started with an Alejandro Bedoya run, stopping a 27-match scoreless streak for club and country with his first goal since Dec. 4 for Sunderland against Chelsea. (Imagine a "strike-less" striker resuming scoring with 2 goals against a world cup team, hmm...). According to the striker, "To be honest, it makes no difference, I don't know if it's weird to you, but it's not weird to me. I've played for this team for such a long time that I think it's my responsibility to kind of help the team in other ways, tracking back and just being somebody now that the other guys can look up to. And I take that very serious."
"The second goal was world class, no

Echiejile Out of 2014 World Cup with Injury. Uzoenyi In.

Nigeria says defender Uwa Echiejile is out of the World Cup with an unspecified injury. The team said in a statement on Saturday from its training base in the United States that the Monaco left back had a muscle tear and needed three weeks to recover. It didn't elaborate. The statement said Echiejile will be replaced by Ejike Uzoenyi, who was in Nigeria's preliminary World Cup squad but was initially cut from the final 23. Nigeria says FIFA has been informed of the intended switch. Coach Stephen Keshi was quoted as saying there wasn't enough time to wait for Echiejile to recover. Nigeria played the U.S. late Saturday in a final friendly for the African champion before it starts its World Cup on June 16.

Play movies and TV shows offline: The Google Chromebook way

Google has now announced that its new Play Movies & TV Chrome app now has an offline mode on Chrome OS (via Gigaom). This means you can watch movies and TV shows on your Chromebook even without an internet connection, which makes the device more appealing to those who view the Chromebook’s need to have near-permanent internet connectivity as a major drawback compared to a regular PC. Other than the offline mode, the new app also features Info Cards which tell you more about the content, and a better Chromecast and local playback experience to anyone watching movies on the Chrome browser.
The IT company just announced that it is making Chromebooks available in nine more countries – New Zealand, the Philippines, Norway, Denmark, Mexico, Chile, Belgium, Spain and Italy — as it seeks to establish the concept of a cloud-based PC in the public’s mind.

Diego Costa passes Chelsea medical as Muller to Man Utd, Liverpool in for Arsenal target in latest transfer news

The summer transfer market does not officially open until July 1, but clubs are already busy preparing moves behind the scenes.
Diego Costa is back in training with his country and yesterday passed a medical for Chelsea held in Barcelona, Spain. Chelsea are set to announce the £32million signing of Diego Costa before the World Cup after the striker yesterday passed his medical. Diego Costa is due to leave Atletico Madrid as he is touted to be Jose Mourinho's answer to Chelsea's striker shortage. The Atletico Madrid striker has agreed personal terms and Chelsea have met the buy-out clause in the striker's contract. The only delay has been because of the hamstring injury suffered by the Spain international at the end of the season.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has said he is looking for a striker that can "open the gate" after missing out on the Premier League title last season in part because of a lack of goals. Samuel Eto'o, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba scored just 19 in the league between them. Costa, 25, scored...

Justin Bieber is now the Preacher’s Pastor

Just a few days after Bieber apologized for using N-word in an old video, another clip of Bieber changing the lyrics of his song "One Less Lonely Girl" to "One Less Lonely N****" arrived online. "If I kill you, I'll be part of the KKK, and there will be one less lonely n**ger," he sang in the video.
The 20-year-old pop star shares quotes from the Bible which talk about forgiveness and sin on Instagram after another video of him making derogatory remarks emerged. #JustinBieber seemingly responded to racism controversy surrounding him with Bible verses. A few hours after news of him using N-word and joking about joining the Klu Klux Klan emerged on Wednesday, June 4, the Canadian heartthrob took to Instagram to address the issue.
"When your sins weigh heavily upon you, come to Me," read the passage. "Confess your wrong doing, which I know all about before you say a word. Stay in the Light of My Presence, receiving forgiveness, cleansing, and healing. Remember that I have clothed you in My Righteousness, so nothing can separate you from Me. Whenever you stumble or fall, I am there to help you up." The singer did not directly mention the controversial video. Before Bieber uploaded the post, his manager Scooter Braun also left a similar message about making mistake on his Instagram. It read, "Some mistakes have no excuses. They are just wrong. But how a man reacts to those mistakes... How he owns it and learns from it... That defines him more than the mistake itself."

ANOTHER DRAW in Nigeria vs Greece

Greece and Nigeria battled to a scoreless draw on Tuesday in an international friendly match that served as a 2014 FIFA World Cup™ warm-up for both teams. Greece had their fair share of chances, but couldn't get past Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, who made a superb double save on Georgios Samaras and Dimitris Salpingidis in the 83rd minute. Greece had the majority of the opportunities in the first half as well, with Lazaros Christodoulopoulos firing a 30-yard rocket that just went high in the 21st minute. Loannis Fetfatzidis was turned away in the 28th minute by Enyeama. Early in the second half, Nigeria picked up their attack on the strength of Chelsea attacker Victor Moses, but his runs from the left wing came to nothing.
In the 90th minute, Moses belted a shot from just outside the box that went wide. Nigeria was coming off a 2-2 draw against Scotland in a friendly in London. The CAF Africa Cup of Nations champions will play...

Ballmer is $2 Billion mad over L.A Clippers

The sale of the Los Angeles Clippers by Donald and Rochelle Sterling to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was approved by the NBA Friday. The $2 billion price for the basketball team ties the $2 billion Guggenheim Baseball Management paid for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the baseball team’s stadium two years ago (the acquisition of nearby real estate pushed up the total enterprise value of the deal to $2.3 billion). But based on a multiple of revenue, the price being paid for the Clippers is way, way above any team transaction. Ballmer is paying over 15 times revenue for the Clippers, nearly twice the multiple. Now I wonder who does that nowadays.
